I'm leaving the bay area to somewhere with actual winter this year, and I'm trying to prepare myself and my truck for the freezing weather. I got a 2025 Ridgeline RTL-E.
I've never lived anywhere that gets below freezing so for my windshield washer fluid, I've only ever used the green Rain-X stuff. My truck probably has whatever the dealership put in it, and I'm worried about the washer fluid freezing solid and cracking the reservoir when it expands. Is there anything I can add to the tank to lower the freezing point, or do I need to drain it and replace it with a winter formula? I'd rather not have a mess to deal with come the first big freeze.
Any other things I need to consider about living where there's heavy snow? For now, I mean I'm just thinking of minor adjustments, not heavy mods. Thanks in advance for any advice!
