My Honda Ridgeline got broke down in the middle of mountains.

This is the first time I've been disappointed in Honda. I like this brand a lot, and this is my second Honda car. I was driving home past midnight and in the mountains, then suddenly, my Ridgeline broke down. The engine just turned off and couldn't turn on again. The dealership had my car towed and said there was a metal part broken inside.
They offer to change the engine for $15000 before a labor discount. It's bonkers , and they were kind of rude about it and weren't helpful (I was calm, didn't even panic). I'm thinking about changing to a Toyota Tundra now, because of the awful Honda customer service.

broken metal part means the engine shit on itself which is the wors kind of shit there is in an engine. the v6s aren't terrible and even though they have some problems, youve passed the breaking point. did you service everything on time?

for 15k even id think about changing cars and the tundra is a great stepup from the ridgeline

yeah, that's sucks, I would be quite upset if this happens to me. You should get a second opinion about the engine condition, maybe it wouldn't cost tht much

That sounds unusual and I haven't come across a similar situation. 15K for an engine replacement BEFORE labor discount is just outrageous! Is your Ridgeline still at a reasonable mileage?

Sorry that happened to you,that's rough. $15K sounds way too high for an engine swap. Some Ridgelines have had engine issues before, so it's worth checking for recalls. I'd get a second opinion or price out a used or rebuilt engine. Honda should've treated you better
