it's first time posting here! i'm thinking about getting a 2025 RTL Honda Ridgeline but i'm worried about the 9-speed transmission issues i have read about online.. i tried to test drove a 2024 model and noticed a slight lag when shifting gears at low speeds. my OCD makes me super picky about stuff like that.. can anyone give me some advice?

The 9-speed in the Ridgeline has actually been a topic of discussion for a while. Honda made some improvements over the years, but some people still notice quirks like slight lag or hesitation at low speeds. If you're sensitive to that kind of thing, it might be worth taking an extended test drive to see if it really bothers you in daily driving.
Some owners say the transmission adapts over time and smooths out, while others never really get used to it. You could also look into whether a software update or different driving mode helps.
maybe consider alternatives like a used Ridgeline with the older 6-speed. But if you like everything else about the truck, it might just be something to get used to.
