Honda Ridgeline RTLE for horse trailer?

My dad has a 2021 honda ridgeline that he wants to use to tow the horse trailer. I told him it was a bad idea. Honestly idk about the towing capacity. What do you think guys, anyone ever use your Ridgeline for trailers? How did it go?

The Ridgeline isn't really built for heavy-duty towing, but it can handle up to 5,000 lbs if properly equipped. A small horse trailer with one horse might be okay, but if it's a bigger setup with multiple horses, that could be pushing it. The unibody design and softer suspension aren't ideal for heavy loads.

nahh dawg I wouldn't recommend it. I tried towing a decent-sized trailer with a Ridgeline before, and even though it was within the weight limit, the truck struggled, and the suspension sagged more than I liked. A horse trailer is even worse lol because the weight shifts around and make handling unpredictable. Your dad might get away with a really light setup, but honestly, I'd use something more heavy duty. It's not worth the stress.

same here. please don't do that to your ridgeline. even with the 5,000 pounds lumit you shouldn't do it. the horse will shift weight too don't expect them to stay in place lol. use a heavy-duty truck like suggestefd by ridgeline head over here.

@LadyInRed depends on how big the trailer is (and the horse). if it's a small horse and a small trailer, I'm sure your dad can do it
